kate + michael

Kate and Michael were married in Providence in September. When I got Kate's response to my bride questionnaire, she supplied a photo of her grandmother's china as a reference. The pattern is from the same era as the Biltmore Hotel (1930s), where they are getting married. I knew right then we would integrate it into the design - but it definitely became the hero.

The invitations folded closed to hold all the components inside, with the floral pattern overlayed on each piece.

We printed offset, and pulled the metallic copper out of the artwork to really make it as close to the hand painted china as possible.

We brought in the china that inspired it all for wayfinding signage throughout the event.

Table numbers were simple 5x7 cards on each table.

For the programs we followed the formula from the invites and used an untraditional format with classic design to modernize them. These were printed on a regular laser printer with the cover on a copper metallic sheet.

We updated their blogger site (a great free option for your wedding website) with the look and feel of the invitations once they went out.

Wedding photography by Providence photographer, Olivia Wilcox. More gorgeous photos from their event can be viewed on her blog.

  1. These pics are beautiful but hard to do your awesome work justice. You have to see them in person to believe how stunning they are. We get so many compliments! Thank you so much!
